Prototyping of Lithium-Ion-Batteries

Air Energy employees have been developing and manufacturing battery packs for over 20 years. During this time, an efficient development process has been established that allows battery packs with complex and unusual customer requirements to be delivered within a few months.

The developers draw on a wealth of experience from tried-and-tested components and manufacturing processes and thus concentrate their work on the special requirements relevant to the customer.

As a customer, you will be involved in the development process of the battery pack to a level that suits your needs.

Manufacturing according to requirements
Our team develops and manufactures battery packs according to detailed customer requirements, which are specified by the customer when the order is placed. This model is used by customers who have already created numerous battery requirements and have already gone through a large part of the concept and validation phase of the development process.

Optimizing the battery pack for a specific application
Projects in which many parameters are still undefined offer the opportunity to develop battery packs that can be elegantly integrated into the end application and thereby achieve good to very good performance values. In this model, we precede the actual development work with a concept and validation phase in which we pre-assess technology and design decisions with the customer and validate them through simulations or tests.

Integrated development team
If the client would like to have parts of the development of the battery pack or the external interfaces carried out by their own developers, our experts can integrate into existing structures. Shared server-based data storage and split-screen virtual conferences enable direct and efficient communication.

Our strengths in development projects

  • Realistic assessment of feasibility, costs and schedule even for challenging projects
  • Well-rehearsed interfaces between our developers
  • Flexible response to exceptional customer requirements
  • Persistent support of projects from the idea to completion (see e.g. Solar Impulse 2006-2016)
  • Sustainable support even many years after the end of the project
